Folklore Art

Original illustrations inspired by folklore, mythology, and old stories — the kind with teeth and wonder in equal measure.

  • Birth of Medusa Sticker

    $4.00

Greek mythology has a story about a woman, cursed by Aphrodite, to become so hideous that a mere glance could turn men to stone. Popular culture has made her into a monster, but Medusa gets a bad rap, and frankly I’ve had enough of it. She deserved better! So here’s a cute deco sticker of her being perfectly amiable despite her terrible fate.

  • Baba Yaga Hut Sticker

    $4.00

Who lives in a hut with two big chicken legs? BABA YAGA.
Baga Yaga, or Baba Jaga, is a Slavic folk tale about an ogress witch who lives with her two sisters (also called Baba Yaga), and guards over the fountain of life. Unfortunately for those who seek the fountain, she deals mostly in death. Basically, if she offers you any fresh meats, you should politely decline and then probably run for the hills, and hope that her hut with chicken legs can’t keep up with you. Or maybe if you have this hella cool cryptid sticker, she’ll think it’s so awesome that she’ll spare you. Who knows?

  • Devil’s Sacrament Sticker

    $4.00

Isn’t it awkward when you run into another villager at the sacrament? This sticker perfectly embodies that feeling when you run into them at the market the next day.
